Overview
The Data & Analytics Officer supports data management processes within the métier, contributing to evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement in data quality, data entry practices, and analytical outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Understands and applies organizational guidance, workflows, and data entry procedures.
- Ensures protection-related data is collected, entered, and stored in compliance with policies.
- Maintains data management documentation.
- Conducts regular data quality checks, including cleaning and correcting inaccuracies.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of data quality monitoring processes and tools.
- Monitors data quality and identifies recurring errors.
- Crosschecks incoming information and verifies accuracy.
- Cleans/prepares raw data for data entry.
- Performs data entry and updates for cases.
- Ensures individual cases/activities are properly shared via interoperability.
- Contributes to the development and refinement of Views, Dashboards, and Reports.
- Assists Protection file holders with data and analysis.
- Uses database and analytical tools to extract, aggregate, analyze, and update data.
- Supports the line manager in preparing ad-hoc and regular data reports.
- Provides statistics on protection activities.
- Identifies data trends and communicates findings.
Required Experience
- Typically, 3–5 years overall professional experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar field.
- Previous experience with databases and data management (specialized software).
- Ability to interact effectively with data users, managers and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent.
- Excellent computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel / Access / Word / Powerpoint).
