Overview

The Project & Innovation Analyst facilitates the implementation of high-impact projects aimed at enhancing digital capacities and the integration of AI in governance and development practices. The role supports project management, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to underpin digital innovation dissemination.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and implementation of DAI Hub initiatives by providing analytical and coordination inputs.
  • Contribute to the development of project and management approaches.
  • Support the coordination and monitoring of project implementation in line with work plans.
  • Assist in facilitating project implementation requirements.
  • Support the maintenance of project documentation, work plans, and tracking tools.
  • Support project closure processes.
  • Analyze project and financial performance data.
  • Support forward-looking analysis and scenario planning.
  • Design and develop data-driven dashboards and analytical tools.
  • Translate data into structured insights.
  • Support project reviews and performance assessments.
  • Support coordination and communication with internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the organization of workshops, events, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Support the documentation of project activities, decisions, and outputs.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing efforts.
Required Experience
  • Applicants with a master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience.
  • Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in project support, business analysis, management and innovation support.
  • Demonstrated experience in innovation, process improvement, or designing new approaches to enhance project delivery is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in international and multi-stakeholder environments is an asset.
  • Experience in developing dashboards or analytical tools to support decision making and performance tracking is an asset.
  • Experience supporting project planning, coordination, or strategy-related processes is an asset.
Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Management, Business Administration, International Management, Innovation, Economics or a related field is required OR
  • A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Working knowledge of another official UN language is advantageous.
