Overview
Supports the design and implementation of communication strategies by developing digital content and broader digital campaigns for various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Produces communication and reporting materials, including photos and videos, infographics, leaflets, webpages etc;
- Supports maintenance and uploading of information on official websites and social media;
- Contributes to organizing public online and offline events;
- Works collectively with other UN communication officers on joint digital communications campaigns;
- Maintains and updates stock of digital communications materials of the Mission;
- Performs other communication-related functions and special duties as required.
Required Experience
- A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in communications, international relations, public information or other relevant areas is required.
- Experience in graphic design and video editing is required.
- Experience in design, development, and maintenance of web pages is required.
- Experience within the United Nations common system or similar international organization is desirable.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in communication, journalism, international relations, media relations, public information, law, other social sciences or humanities.
- A first-level university degree in the above-mentioned areas in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
