Overview
Development of national guidelines for the use of Generative AI (GenAI) in Mauritania, balancing its potential with proactive governance to mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Review regional and international best practices related to GenAI policies and guidelines.
- Define risks associated with GenAI application in Mauritania.
- Identify national stakeholders and conduct interviews/meetings.
- Prepare GenAI Guidelines including acceptable use cases, data types, transparency, oversight, privacy, IP, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure alignment with Jordan’s AI strategy and public administration reform agenda.
- Contribute to national workshops and update draft proposals.
- Prepare presentation slides and a summary brief.
- Provide recommendations on dissemination, awareness-raising, and implementation.
Required Experience
- At least 10 years of professional experience in technology related issues.
- 5 years in the domain of digital technologies.
- Previous experience in the development of national policies and strategies.
- Previous experience in the delivery of research papers is desirable.
- Previous experience in Generative AI is desirable.
Qualifications
- A masters degree or equivalent in AI, ICT, technology, engineering, computer science or a related field is required.
- A Ph.D. degree is desirable.
