Overview
The role involves coordinating and executing events for UNICEF's 80th anniversary, including conceptualization, planning, and logistical management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead an end-to-end event, including the conceptualisation, planning and execution, on the morning of Dec 11 in the ECOSOC chamber of the UN HQ with member states and children
- Lead an end-to-end event in UNICEF House in the evening of Dec 11 with private sector, celebrities, children, musicians, artists, and Goodwill Ambassadors
- Conceptualise, plan and execute an exhibition in the Danny Kaye Hall at UNICEF House to commemorate 80 years
- Share format of events and exhibition with Country Offices so they can adapt/replicate
- Manage logistical aspects of the events, support the engagement with service providers, and liaison with UN security and protocol
- Troubleshoot tech issues and provide timely solution to optimize the quality of virtual events
- Collaborate with building management and IT teams to ensure compatibility, security and scalability of virtual event technologies
- Develop and implement metrics for evaluating the success and impact of events
- Conduct post-event analyses, gathering feedback, and using insights to refine future strategies and initiatives
- Work with budget focal point and campaign coordinator and support them in tracking expenditures against allocated resources.
Required Experience
- At least 6 years of practical and relevant professional work experience in communication, marketing and event production;
- A track record of producing brand activations, high level events, virtual events, and other communication campaigns;
- Experience of and knowledge about working with children, including child safeguarding guidelines
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Communication/ Journalism/ Public Relations / Marketing or related field.
