Overview
The Adolescent Substance Misuse and Diversion Consultant will support the development, preparation, implementation, and monitoring of projects aimed at prevention and early intervention of adolescent drug misuse in Fiji and Samoa. The role provides technical guidance and management support.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the justice or security sector, child protection, and/or other related areas, some of which preferably were served in a developing country, is required.
- Relevant experience working with an international organization or NGO in the Pacific, or a similar context, is required.
- Relevant experience working for an international organization, NGO, UN, or Government in the justice or social welfare sector in a Pacific Island Country is required.
- Direct experience in Fiji or Samoa is highly regarded.
- Knowledge and experience in establishing programs in the Pacific context is highly regarded.
- Relevant experience in programme management, partnerships, monitoring, and reporting, preferably in a Pacific context, is required.
Qualifications
- An advanced university degree or Postgraduate Diploma in international development, human rights, international law, or other relevant field is required.
- Additional years of relevant work experience may be considered as a substitute for an advanced degree.
