Overview
The WASH Officer supports the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of WASH interventions, working closely with government counterparts, development partners, and communities. The role contributes to the achievement of UNICEF’s Country Programme outcomes by ensuring effective delivery of WASH services and promoting equitable access for all children.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepares, manages and implements a variety of technical and administrative tasks, related to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the WASH output results of the country programme.
Required Experience
- A minimum of two years of professional work experience in WASH-related programmes for developing countries is required.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Climate Change, Social Science, Public Health, Water and sanitation, behavior change communication, civil/sanitary engineering and any other related fields.
- Additional relevant post-graduate courses that complement/supplement the main degree are a strong asset.
