Overview

The People and Culture Officer will support initiatives and projects to strengthen the humanitarian workforce's preparedness and response capacity, focusing on community engagement, talent readiness, and outreach.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of community engagement strategies for the Frontlines network.
  • Optimize the Frontlines digital architecture (SharePoint and Viva Engage).
  • Handle humanitarian talent inquiries from the Frontlines community.
  • Participate in humanitarian talent forums and career events.
  • Monitor the Humanitarian Learning Channel and Humanitarian Learning Pathway.
  • Refine the Humanitarian Learning and Development SharePoint site.
  • Provide communications and administrative support to humanitarian learning and development initiatives.
  • Support humanitarian outreach strategies and in-reach campaigns.
  • Design infographics, presentations, and digital assets.
  • Streamline People in Humanitarian Action’s contribution to corporate communications.
Required Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience at the national and/or international level in community engagement, communications, talent outreach, or other relevant programmes.
  • Experience with humanitarian principles is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in the United Nations (UN) or other international development organizations is an asset.
  • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sway, Forms, etc.), is required.
  • Experience with online learning platforms (Agora, LinkedIn Learning, Rise 360) is an asset.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop) is an asset.
Qualifications

Master's degree in Humanitarian Studies, Human Resources Management, Social Sciences, International Relations, or a related field.

Remuneration
• Current Monthly Living Allowance (MLA) is USD 2,824 • Private insurance coverage by CIGNA (including for the eligible dependents when residing together in Istanbul) • Entry allowance (one-time payment): USD 3,500 • Exit allowance: USD 225 per month and solely paid upon the satisfactory completion of assignment • Family allowance based on eligibility and status (per month): USD 250 for 1 dependent, USD 450 for 2 or more dependents • Annual leave: 2.5 days accrued per calendar month • Free access to different learning platforms and UN & UNV network
