Overview

Develop software for the drawing of lots for the UNCAC IRM and prepare a user manual.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop the software for the drawing of lots on the basis of a software previously developed for the Mechanism to Review the Implementation of the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and the Protocols thereto;
  • Prepare a user manual for the software.
Required Experience
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the field of research experience in statistics, logic, mathematics or computer science is required
  • Experience in developing drawing of lots software that is similar to the software developed for the Mechanism to Review the Implementation of the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and the Protocols thereto, is desirable.
Qualifications
  • An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in the fields of econometrics, economics, information management, data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics or related field is required.
  • A first level university degree or equivalent academic education, professional training with certification from a recognized international/national training institution, in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

• Fluency in oral and written English is required.
Languages Preferred
• Knowledge of another official United Nations language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an advantage.
