Overview
The UN Coordination Associate will support the Resident Coordinator Office in developing coordination functions and substantive processes for the Assistance Framework and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The role aims to enhance the work and broaden the voice of UN entities in the country and promote coherence of UN actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, organization, and follow-up of inter-agency meetings, including preparing agendas, minutes, and tracking action points.
- Contribute to the effective functioning of UN Country Team (UNCT) coordination mechanisms.
- Facilitate collaboration across Results Groups, UN agencies, and technical teams for UNSDCF implementation.
- Support monitoring of inter-agency workplans and joint outputs.
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for joint programming and inter-agency collaboration.
- Design, develop, and maintain an integrated UNCT dashboard.
- Support the collection, validation, analysis, and entry of data into the UN INFO platform.
- Contribute to strengthening UN INFO as a central tool for planning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Assist in generating analytical outputs, reports, and visualizations from UN INFO and other systems.
- Support capacity-building efforts and provide guidance on UN INFO usage.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and timeliness for UNCT reporting.
- Contribute to the development and updating of the Common Country Analysis (CCA) and other UNCT analytical products.
- Support context analysis exercises and preparation of strategic inputs for the UNCT.
- Apply strategic foresight approaches to identify emerging trends, risks, and possible scenarios.
- Support analysis of the UN system's contribution to SDGs and the 2030 Agenda.
- Systematize relevant data and information for evidence-based decision-making.
- Undertake any other task assigned within the Resident Coordinator Office.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated interest and/or experience (up to two years) in project/programme management, programme support, inter-agency coordination, information management, data analysis or related areas.
- Experience working with international organizations, development cooperation, or within the United Nations system is an asset.
- Proven experience in organizing meetings, preparing minutes and supporting coordination processes involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in data collections, analysis and visualization, including the use of tools such as Excel, Power BI or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with results-based management, monitoring and evaluation, or reporting processes related to development programmes is an advantage.
- Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Internacional relations, social sciences or related field.
