Overview
The Investment Analyst will support Investment Officers in identifying, structuring, negotiating, and supervising investment projects within the Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services sector, focusing on Consumer Services and Manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Fully understands the financial aspects of investment or advisory transactions.
- Conducts market analysis and determines financial soundness of company or project opportunity.
- Demonstrates skill in financial statement analysis, accounting, finance, financial modeling, DCF, and comparable company analysis.
- Conducts market and industry research and analysis.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, thoughtful scenario analysis, and diligence in work quality.
- Analyzes and synthesizes debt pricing benchmarks and equity trading comparable.
- Basic understanding of how specific investments or advisory transactions impact economic, market, and social development.
- Identifies data collection needs and coordinates with clients to obtain needed information.
- Supports business development efforts with the mapping of companies and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrates active listening skills to identify client and stakeholder needs.
- Distills and summarizes large amounts of information to prepare business documents and presentations.
- Writes in a logical, comprehensive, yet concise manner.
- Utilizes graphics and tables to effectively present data.
- Extracts lessons from IFC’s earlier investments or advisory mandates to provide input to the structuring of straightforward transactions.
Required Experience
At least 2-4 years work experience in a financial institution, particularly in investment projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or equivalent degree.
