Overview

Internship supporting programme implementation and operations within the UNODC Programme Office in the Kyrgyz Republic.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the organization of meetings, events and conferences.
  • General support in processing, drafting and finalizing training materials.
  • Provide assistance in social media campaigns.
  • Support to develop communication materials.
  • Assist in data collection of science, technology and innovation practices.
  • Conduct web research and provide analysis on science, technology and innovation and sustainable development issues.
  • Adding data to the databases.
  • Provide support in operations, including finance, procurement, HR, general administration.
  • Assist with archiving.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.

Qualifications

Pursuing graduate degree in law, international relations, management, business administration, finance, social sciences or other relevant academic disciplines. Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Be computer literate in standard software applications.

Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English and Russian is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of Kirghiz is desirable. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

UNPAID. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
