Overview

This position is responsible for developing, managing, implementing, and monitoring an advocacy and communications strategy. The role supports the strategic objective of promoting awareness, understanding, support, and respect for children's and women's rights.


Key Responsibilities
  • Scaled up Communication and Advocacy strategy including engagement with digital and social media
  • Alignment of Communication with advocacy and fundraising to achieve results.
  • Monitoring and evaluation, best practice in communication and opportunities for scaling up.
  • Networking and strategic partnerships and key stakeholders
  • Excellent People Management.
Required Experience

At least 10 years of relevant work experience in Communication, Stakeholder engagement, Strategic partnerships, Resource mobilization and any other related fields. International and national work experience in both developed and developing countries. Professional experience in developing and implementing communication strategies, especially social media engagement. Background/familiarity with Emergency situations.

Qualifications

Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations/Communication, other related fields of disciplines and any other related fields.

Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language. Knowledge of Russian is a strong asset and is preferred.
