Key Responsibilities
  • Support logistics activities during humanitarian response including assessment, planning, implementation and coordination;
  • Prepare proposals for food assistance requirements based on needs assessments, using established guidelines and procedures;
  • Manage the tendering process, contract awards and contractor performance for services required for the effective delivery of food assistance;
  • Coordinate and monitor daily warehouse activities, including receipt and storage of food aid, ensuring proper documentation is received and stored;
  • Organize and coordinate food aid distributions by working closely with other staff members and local authorities to ensure smooth operations;
  • Maintain close collaboration with the Operations team to facilitate smooth operations at the warehouse and to resolve any operational issues;
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to enable effective monitoring of the programme and improvement of operations;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience

At least two years of relevant experience in supply chain management, warehousing and/or logistics within a humanitarian organization or private sector companies dealing with humanitarian projects. Experience in managing warehouses and large teams.

Qualifications

University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
