Overview
The ICRC Protection Unit is seeking a Protection of Family Links Field Officer in Lviv to support the implementation and monitoring of PFL activities. The role involves processing tracing inquiries, collecting requests, undertaking tracing activities, and ensuring follow-up of missing cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain contacts with families of missing/captured persons and other enquirers.
- Analyze missing caseloads and propose follow-up actions.
- Ensure timely data entry and calls to families.
- Provide advice to protection team members on missing cases procedures.
- Assess and propose improvements to existing procedures.
- Organize and carry out awareness-raising sessions.
- Contribute to maintaining synergies with Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
- Ensure synergies with other operational departments.
- Identify needs of families and map relevant external services.
- Support gatherings of families and maintain contact with family associations.
Required Experience
3-5 years’ experience in the field of social, political, or economic sciences or similar. Experience with the ICRC or another humanitarian or international organization is an asset.
Qualifications
University degree or relevant professional experience.
