Overview
The Protection/Safe Cross-Border Passage Program (SCBP) Field Officer will contribute to the implementation and monitoring of ICRC protection activities related to the SCBP program, which supports the repatriation/family reunification of people affected by conflict.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day implementation and development of the Safe Cross-Border Passage (SCBP) program.
- Assessing and processing potential cases and ensuring timely follow-up for beneficiaries.
- Accompanying beneficiaries during cross-border movements and providing practical support.
- Providing support to sub-delegations on SCBP cases and activities.
- Ensuring compliance with workflows, reporting guidelines, and data entry procedures.
- Collecting, analyzing, and sharing protection-related information and preparing relevant reports.
- Documenting and following up on protection concerns affecting civilians.
- Identifying and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Supporting the planning, organization, and reporting of internal and external meetings and providing interpretation when required.
- Engaging directly with individuals affected by conflict to understand their circumstances and provide support.
- Contributing to the analysis of the security, socioeconomic, cultural, and political environment.
Required Experience
3–5 years of professional experience, preferably in the fields of social, political, or economic sciences, or a related area.
Qualifications
University degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
