Overview
The Inclusive Growth Coordinator will lead the coordination, technical backstopping, and policy positioning of UNDP Morocco's inclusive growth portfolio, ensuring substantive coherence, quality assurance, and integrated programming across thematic areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the inclusive growth portfolio.
- Provide substantive backstopping and quality assurance to project managers and analysts.
- Lead integrated programming across the portfolio.
- Contribute to the design of new initiatives and concept notes.
- Support positioning UNDP as a strategic partner of choice on inclusive growth.
- Provide substantive coordination, programmatic and policy advisory support across thematic areas.
- Lead and contribute to the design of new initiatives.
- Coordinate analytical work on poverty, inequalities, employment, social protection, health and financing for development.
- Support the substantive development and implementation of UNDP Morocco's flagship initiatives.
- Engage strategically with sub-national authorities.
- Coordinate programmatic dialogue and partnerships with the private sector.
- Coordinate inter-agency engagement on shared portfolios.
- Promote the integration of cross-cutting priorities.
- Contribute to resource mobilization for the inclusive growth portfolio.
- Provide relevant expertise and perspectives in technical working groups, donor coordination meetings, UN inter-agency platforms and external fora.
- Lead knowledge management, lessons learning and communication for the portfolio.
- Promote South-South and triangular cooperation.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible professional experience in inclusive growth, poverty reduction, employment, social protection, health and development, and/or financing for development, at the national and/or international level.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and providing substantive backstopping to development programmes/projects, including quality assurance, monitoring and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, policy advisory and the production of high-quality written outputs.
- Proven experience in strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with Government, development partners, the private sector, civil society and academia.
- Familiarity with the Moroccan and/or regional development context, public administration and key national institutions.
- Experience in resource mobilization and the development of fundable concept notes and proposals.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Economics, Development Studies, Political Economy, Public Finance, or a related field is required, Or A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) in the above-mentioned fields, in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience, will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
