IBO Italia - ODV-ETS IBO Italia Volunteer opportunity: Individual Volunteering with the NGO IBO in Parma, Italy
IBO is an NGO based in Ferrara and Parma, Italy. Its mission is to promote access to education as a fundamental right for every person, especially children and youth from disadvantaged communities. This aim is carried out through a wide range of projects, from volunteering to international cooperation in the field of education and training, in Italy and worldwide (Africa, Latin America, etc.) We are looking for a volunteer who want to support us in these activities: - organizing and carrying out workshops in local schools about environment, migration and inequalities; -organization and participation in fundraising campaigns and events; -promotion of social and awareness-raising events in the area; - support in the creation and promotion of information material; - support in the communication area (management of the IBO Parma FB page). Dates are a bit flexible. If you meet the requirements, apply for the opportunity and we will invite you to an online meeting. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements This project does not include accommodation and food. The ideal candidate is someone who already resides in Parma or in the surrounding areas and cities who can reach the place of the activities on a daily basis. The office is located inside the Co-working "On-Off", where you will have the opportunity to meet a lot of other people. The activities also take place outside the office, such as in local schools and other social places. What we offer: monthly pocket money, insurance, youth pass certificate. What we ask: 30 service hours a week. Training during the activity We offer volunteers the opportunity to attend these face-to-face trainings: one arrival general training about IBO, arrival and mid term trainings organized by our National Agency for Youth, and other eventual trainings and workshops depending on the period. Participant profile Requirements: - Residing in Parma or surrounding territories/cities; - Advanced knowledge of Italian language; - Knowledge of English language is preferable; - Experience in group coordination or in the socio-educational field is preferable; - Experience in organizing events or campaigns is preferable; - Experience in using multimedia tools is preferable.
