Overview
Develops, manages, coordinates, networks, implements, and monitors advocacy and communication strategies and associated products and activities to influence audiences and build child rights champions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a clear communication approach and work plan to support advocacy and country programme objectives.
- Oversee effective digital content production to strengthen advocacy and programme priorities.
- Maintain and develop media contact lists and collaborate with media to communicate UNICEF's cooperation.
- Maintain contact lists of individuals, groups, and organizations essential for achieving advocacy and communication objectives.
- Maintain and develop contact lists of nationally-known personalities to support UNICEF's efforts.
- Integrate and act on UNICEF’s global communications priorities and campaigns.
- Support global and country level fund-raising activities with effective advocacy and communication.
- Manage human and financial resources for the communication team and budget.
- Establish communication baselines for evaluation and prepare results and reports.
- Provide expertise and advice on external relations communication and identify capacity building opportunities.
Required Experience
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Communication, Broadcasting, Media, Communication, Print, Broadcast, New Media. and any other related fields.
Qualifications
Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Communications, Public Relations/Communication, Journalism, Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, External Relations and any other related fields.
