Overview
The Deputy Director (Immunization Supply) will lead the Immunization Supply Pillar, overseeing the procurement and supply of vaccines, equipment, and infrastructure to support immunization and health programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Immunization Supply Pillar, providing management oversight and setting strategic directions.
- Support country programmes on supply policy issues and advisory services related to vaccines.
- Advise on preparedness and response strategy for vaccine-related emergencies.
- Ensure procurement compliance with UN Financial Rules and Regulations and Vaccine Procurement Principles.
- Coordinate with partners engaged in the Immunization Agenda 2030.
- Lead strategic Industry and Partner consultations on vaccine procurement and market shaping.
- Develop and coordinate strategies for procurement of Immunization Supplies.
- Lead, manage, and develop people resources within the Immunization Pillar.
Required Experience
- A minimum of thirteen (13) years of relevant professional experience in health procurement programmes with knowledge of vaccines and other products required for immunization programmes and of worldwide markets.
- Senior experience in public procurement and influencing markets.
- Proven management experience.
Qualifications
• An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Business/Management, pharmaceutical science, Public Health, epidemiology, law or other related disciplines.
