Overview
The role supports the deployment and integration of artificial intelligence solutions to enhance the efficiency, innovation, and digital transformation of the UNDP office.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of AI solutions.
- Participate in identifying user needs and collecting information for solution development.
- Support testing, validation, and continuous improvement of developed tools.
- Contribute to the implementation and improvement of automated workflows using Microsoft 365 tools.
- Document existing processes and identify automation opportunities.
- Support the monitoring of implemented automations.
- Support the configuration and adaptation of conversational agents and virtual assistants.
- Participate in functional testing and user feedback collection.
- Contribute to updating content and knowledge bases for AI assistants.
- Contribute to exploring the use of generative AI and other innovative technologies.
- Participate in researching best practices and innovative solutions.
- Support the preparation of demonstrations, prototypes, or proofs of concept.
- Contribute to preparing and updating user guides, technical notes, and reference documents.
- Participate in documenting developed solutions, identified needs, and lessons learned.
- Support knowledge capitalization and sharing activities.
- Contribute to organizing information sessions, demonstrations, and introductions to AI tools.
- Provide first-level support to colleagues in using deployed tools.
- Collect user feedback and contribute to its consideration in solution improvement.
- Raise user awareness of best practices for responsible and secure AI tool use.
- Contribute to integrating data protection principles, quality, and compliance with organizational guidelines.
- Participate in monitoring internal recommendations and procedures related to digital technologies and AI usage.
Required Experience
- At least one (01) month and up to one (01) year of professional experience, internship, and/or relevant volunteer experience at the national and/or international level in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital solutions, workflow automation, software development, information systems, or related fields;
- Practical experience with AI tools and workflow automation platforms is required;
- Knowledge of generative AI concepts, AI-assisted solution design, Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, and other digital workflow tools is highly desirable;
- Technical and analytical skills in solution development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement of automated workflows and AI-enabled tools are desirable;
- Ability to develop user guides, technical notes, process documentation, and concise reports in French and Arabic is highly desirable;
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, understand operational needs, and translate them into practical digital solutions;
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, experiment with new tools and approaches, and transform ideas into concrete prototypes and workflow improvements;
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and digital collaboration tools is required; familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms, data management, and process mapping is highly desirable;
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and deliver results within agreed deadlines;
- An interest in digital transformation, innovation, responsible AI, volunteerism as a lever for sustainable development, and the United Nations system is an asset.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Artificial intelligence, digital transformation, workflow automation, information technology, operational process improvement, or other relevant fields
