Overview

The Chief Information Officer will play a central role in enabling the NCIA’s digital backbone, ensuring technology, information, and cyber capabilities drive operational excellence and mission success. This is an executive leadership role focused on defining and delivering the vision for NCIA’s information systems, infrastructure, and digital operating model.


Key Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the NCIA’s internal IT strategy and architecture.
  • Oversee internal information systems, infrastructure, and platforms.
  • Set the vision and lead the implementation of Cloud, both on-premises and hybrid environments.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of internal IT services.
  • Define and enforce technology standards, policies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Lead and advise on cybersecurity, risk management, and information protection.
  • Oversee enterprise applications and business systems.
  • Drive digital transformation and process optimization.
  • Provide strategic advice to executive leadership on technology trends, risks, and opportunities.
Required Experience
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in complex technical organizations (holding a Master’s Degree) or 20+ years (holding a Bachelor’s degree).
  • Extensive experience (at least 15 years), at the executive management level, involving leading and managing change in a dynamic technical organization.
  • Proven experience running large (100M EUR+) scale programs.
  • Proven experience running contemporary CIS cloud based workloads.
  • Demonstrable experience leading IT/Digital strategy development and its implementation.
  • Experience overseeing all Lifecycle aspects of Information Systems.
  • Strong experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and information protection.
  • Proven ability to drive business transformation and digital enablement in complex organizations.
  • Proven experience in managing large, diverse and multidisciplinary teams successfully employing modern, inspirational leadership practices.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience operating in senior and politically complex environments.
  • Proven experience working as part of an executive leadership team, shaping strategy and delivery.
