Overview

The role of Statistical Assistant involves the processing and dissemination of national accounts tables related to government finance statistics, and coordinating team work in specific areas.


Key Responsibilities
  • Processing of quarterly and annual GFS tables for a set of countries.
  • Monitoring the consistent application of ESA 2010.
  • Dissemination tasks.
  • Provision of advice on specific methodological issues having an impact on GFS.
  • Monitoring of developments relating to GFS in the countries under responsibility.
  • Contributions to papers and presentations in the GFS and COFOG TF.
  • Coordinating team’s work in areas such as cross-cutting reporting, grants, updates of templates, or other tasks.
Required Experience

Appropriate professional experience of at least three years if secondary education is the highest qualification.

Qualifications
  • A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma OR
  • A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education.
  • Have passed an EPSO CAST in the relevant Function Group for this position.
Other Details
Languages Required
• Have a thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU. • AND have a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of further community languages is an asset.
Contract Duration
The duration of the first contract will be 1 year. Subject to the interest of the service, the contract may be renewed one or more times up to a maximum duration of 6 years.

Remuneration
The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances.
