The Rakhine State Specialist will review evidentiary materials, maintain a glossary of specialized terms, and provide input into mapping platforms related to Rakhine State.
A minimum of five years of experience working on matters relating to the political, human rights, humanitarian or security situation in Rakhine state, including investigation, documentation, research data management or analysis work, is required. Experience in relation to other regions of Myanmar, or on states bordering Myanmar, is desirable. Experience in an international criminal tribunal, fact finding or accountability mechanism is desirable.
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent degree) in Asian studies, conflict or security studies, information management, international criminal law, social science or related fields is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
