Overview
Support the formulation of a GEF project document related to sustainable fisheries development in Viet Nam. The role involves generating and collating information to inform the technical content, structure, and implementation approach of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Collate and document information relevant to the fisheries sector in project target provinces.
- Review baseline policies, regulatory frameworks, and existing initiatives related to fisheries management.
- Contribute to the identification and design of fisheries-related project interventions.
- Provide technical inputs on sustainable fisheries management.
- Support the formulation of approaches related to Fisheries Resource Protected Areas (FRPAs)/OECMs and sustainable use of fisheries resources.
- Contribute to the development of fisheries-related sections in the project document.
- Support the development of a monitoring framework related to fisheries and marine biodiversity.
- Provide technical support in stakeholder consultations, field visits, and workshops.
- Support the development of the ProDoc (Vietnamese version) and its annexes, review and draft comments.
Required Experience
At least 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the aquaculture and fisheries sector or a related field in Viet Nam.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master or PhD) in Fisheries, Aquaculture, or related field.
