Overview

Seeking a qualified Access Analyst Humanitarian Access Working Group (HAWG) Co-Chair to support the INGO Forum and its members in maintaining principled and meaningful access for sustainable programmes across Syria.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support harmonisation of access tools and practices across NGOs.
  • Coordinate with NRC’s Health, Safety, Security and Access (HSSA) department.
  • Promote inclusion and accountability within the HAWG.
  • Support the preparation and facilitation of HAWG meetings.
  • Support the establishment of temporary sub-working groups/task forces.
  • Organise and deliver access training and workshops.
  • Partner with the Advocacy Manager to influence stakeholders.
  • Contribute to regional analyses and advocacy notes.
  • Contribute to NRC Global Humanitarian Access and Safety efforts.
  • Network and build synergies with existing actors.
  • Network actively with members of the HAWG.
  • Actively network with key stakeholders.
  • Lead and support the facilitation of collective action.
  • Represent the HAWG in meetings focused on Access.
Required Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience working in a coordination/humanitarian access role in complex settings. Demonstrated knowledge of the context, and current conflict sensitivities within Syria and the region.

Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Languages Preferred
Professional competency in Arabic is strongly desired.
Contract Duration
12 months. Renewal based on funding and performance.
