Overview

To ensure the delivery of quality Emergency Food Security and Livelihoods (EFSL) intervention at the location of intervention in line with Oxfam and internationally accepted humanitarian standards. The role is responsible for the daily management and implementation of food security and livelihoods activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Carries out effective mobilization & sensitization of community & other key stakeholders on project implementation deliverables.
  • Direct line management of SSHF Emergency Response Extension Agents within the County of operation.
  • Act as Oxfam representative to stakeholders for all matters concerning SSHF response project.
  • Ensure all project activities are conducted in accordance with agreed work-plan and proposal.
  • Submit monthly and quarterly reports to the Senior EFSVL Officer.
  • Ensure coordination of all activities at County-level with relevant Local Government leaders, INGOs and CBOs, and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure Emergency Response Project is implemented in a way that addresses specific needs of women, men, boys and girls by mainstreaming gender.
  • Provide regular orientation to team on promoting Oxfam gender modules, standards and checklists.
  • Use an integrated approach in conjunction with other Humanitarian Interventions and Development programmes.
  • Ensure Extension Agents work according to clear workplans, and work within a framework of clear objectives.
  • Work closely with the Senior EFSVL Officer on food security assessments and surveys.
  • Support in developing workplans and sharing clear project deliverables with Extension agents.
  • Support in producing regular reports and contribute donor final report, 5W reporting.
  • Represent Oxfam GB at certain meetings involving local government and sector ministries.
  • Ensure adequate technical support to the food security/livelihoods and monitoring staff.
  • Stand in for the Senior ESFVL Officer in his/her absence.
  • Support capacity building to staff hands on work to ensure that adhere to approved approaches and processes.
