Overview
The Cities and Climate Change Technical Assistant will support the Urban-Act project in transforming towards low-carbon and resilient urban development in the Asia-Pacific region. The role involves visualizing data, coordinating webinars, and supporting communication materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide research assistance, including desk reviews and data compilation.
- Support data cleaning, basic analysis, and preparation of tables and summaries.
- Develop simple data visualizations, charts, infographics, and visual summaries.
- Assist in translating research outputs into clear visual formats.
- Prepare registration, manage live webinars, collect feedback, and generate certificates.
- Provide administrative and technical support for updating and maintaining the Urban-Act project section on the Urban SDG Knowledge Platform.
- Assist in uploading, formatting, and organizing knowledge products, event summaries, multimedia materials, and policy briefs.
- Support coordination with technical and country teams to gather inputs.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for preparatory work for intergovernmental meetings and side events.
- Facilitate key activities and ensure effective coordination for Urban-Act Indonesia regional activities.
- Facilitate the coordination of the National and subnational EFC report.
- Support the maintaining meeting notes for output working group meetings and other UA meetings.
- Support the preparation of communication materials such as slide decks, simple infographics, and briefing notes.
- Assist with information sharing among city and country stakeholders by preparing digital content and maintaining contact lists and mailing lists.
- Support to Re-structure the Urban-SDG Knowledge Platform for enhancing products visibility and accessibility.
- Support the preparation and dissemination of communication materials with Urban-Act partners highlighting key project achievements, knowledge products, and lessons learned.
Required Experience
Experience in sustainable urban development or a similar field, including supporting research, developing communications product such as branding, video, and flyers, coordinating workshops, or webinars, and contributing to knowledge products.
Qualifications
Master Degree in urban planning, environment, geography, sustainable development, management, social sciences, or related discipline. Good command in designing software like Canva
