Overview
This role will manage, coordinate, and mobilize advocacy and campaign engagements for an EU education project, aiming to influence policies and achieve positive change for children's access to quality education.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and manage advocacy and campaign engagements plans.
- Lead advocacy and campaign engagements at state, local government, and community levels.
- Champion, promote, coordinate, and manage the implementation of out-of-school children campaign strategy.
- Mobilize and build capacities of project team members on advocacy and campaign.
- Track, measure, monitor, and evaluate the quality of advocacy and campaign integration.
- Contribute to the development of annual work plans, budgets, reports, and document case studies.
- Ensure maximum visibility of Save the Children according to branding guidelines.
- Ensure children are at the heart of advocacy and campaign engagements.
- Ensure proper documentation and dissemination of major activities, successes, and learnings.
- Represent SCI Nigeria in state-level engagements and maintain strategic partnerships.
- Develop case studies for the EU Education project.
- Identify story ideas for success stories and communication materials.
- Explore opportunities to communicate about the EU Education project deliverables and impact.
- Produce reports, advocacy messaging, campaign plans, and presentations.
- Organise events on education issues.
- Develop and maintain a professional network for governance issues.
- Build the capacity of CSOs and support civil society engagement.
- Contribute to ACCM country-wide coordination meetings and produce stories/case studies.
- Ensure all stakeholders are trained and commit to safeguarding policy.
- Participate in ACCM activities, meetings, workshops, and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
At least five (5) years post NYSC relevant experience in education/development advocacy. Prior experience in building external networks, strategic planning, governance and gender advocacy, enhanced voice accountability, and training and facilitation.
Qualifications
Advance technical skills, B. Sc in social work or equivalent, professional certificate.
