Overview
The Local Mobiliser will support the implementation of a programme and its activities in partnership with the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro, promoting community participation and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the participation and engagement of people living in the community;
- Supporting the organisation and holding of meetings, workshops, assemblies and other spaces for social participation in the community;
- Clearly and efficiently communicating project information to the community, ensuring that everyone is aware of project activities;
- Promote active community participation in decision-making and project implementation, strengthening the sense of belonging;
- Publicise the programme in the communities;
- Attend project meetings whenever called upon;
- Participate in local meetings as requested;
- Be responsible, within its competencies, to ensure that the technical activities are aligned with the quality expectations of the Agency and the counterparts;
- Perform other duties which may be requested by the supervisors;
- Elaboration and delivery of a Monthly Activity Report in a timely manner.
Required Experience
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the above-mentioned fields of work is required.
- Experience in data collection, preferably in public projects and in vulnerable communities in Rio de Janeiro is required.
- Experience in the social area and in coordinating fieldwork, preferably in the public sector and in vulnerable areas, is desirable.
- Previous experience working in the United Nations is desirable.
Qualifications
• Secondary school or additional 2 years of relevant technical experience to the post, beyond the requirement.
