Internship opportunity to support analytical work on industrial policy and Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Mozambique, contributing to a Country Growth & Jobs Report.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a comprehensive review of industrial policies implemented in Mozambique.
  • Develop a database of industrial policy interventions.
  • Undertake a literature review and desk-based analysis to assess industrial policy interventions.
  • Support the identification and qualitative assessment of costs and benefits associated with industrial policy measures.
  • Analyze alignment of industrial policy interventions with international good practices.
  • Conduct an in-depth assessment of Mozambique’s Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and industrial parks.
  • Compile and analyze evidence on the performance of SEZs.
  • Assess the costs, benefits, and implementation challenges associated with SEZs.
  • Evaluate adherence of SEZs to international good practices.
  • Prepare background notes, analytical briefs, presentations, and draft sections of reports.
  • Present preliminary findings and incorporate feedback.
Required Experience

0–6 years of relevant professional experience

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a PhD or Master’s program
