Overview
Internship opportunity to support analytical work on industrial policy and Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Mozambique, contributing to a Country Growth & Jobs Report.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive review of industrial policies implemented in Mozambique.
- Develop a database of industrial policy interventions.
- Undertake a literature review and desk-based analysis to assess industrial policy interventions.
- Support the identification and qualitative assessment of costs and benefits associated with industrial policy measures.
- Analyze alignment of industrial policy interventions with international good practices.
- Conduct an in-depth assessment of Mozambique’s Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and industrial parks.
- Compile and analyze evidence on the performance of SEZs.
- Assess the costs, benefits, and implementation challenges associated with SEZs.
- Evaluate adherence of SEZs to international good practices.
- Prepare background notes, analytical briefs, presentations, and draft sections of reports.
- Present preliminary findings and incorporate feedback.

0–6 years of relevant professional experience

Currently enrolled in a PhD or Master’s program
