Overview
The World Bank Group is seeking an intern to support the Financial Institutions Group Upstream and Advisory Lead for the Mekong Region. The role involves programmatic oversight and strategic planning for the financial institutions' portfolio in Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities
- Support client relationships and new business opportunities.
- Manage projects including scoping, budgeting, and reporting.
- Draft Implementation Plans.
- Support business planning and market assessments.
- Develop strategic plans and procure resources.
- Review company information and prepare reports.
- Conduct industry and market research.
- Liaise with IBRD for Agriconnect initiatives.
- Support organization and implementation of trainings and events.
- Monitor portfolio projects, aggregate data, and analyze data.
- Create and work with financial models.
- Analyze client bank data and financial statements.
- Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Draft, edit, and subedit written documents and presentations.
- Produce reports on Mekong Region FIG-A activities.
- Produce a newsletter and program summary.
- Record and circulate meeting minutes.
- Liaise with internal and external contacts.
- Maintain working knowledge of advisory and investment operations.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
Required Experience
3–6 years of relevant professional experience
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a postgraduate (master’s/PhD) program
