Overview
This internship offers undergraduate and postgraduate students a high-impact learning experience within the World Bank Group's Infrastructure department, focusing on private sector development in emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze historical and projected financial statements.
- Create and analyze financial models.
- Conduct industry, integrity (KYC), and market research.
- Review company information and prepare reports.
- Elaborate indicative proposals for potential clients.
- Participate and support in the structuring of new transactions.
- Prepare investment committee materials.
- Evaluate, structure, negotiate, and close new transactions.
- Prepare documentation for IFC internal processes.
- Participate and provide analytical support in negotiations.
- Participate in the monitoring of investments.
- Support portfolio investments.
- Participate in due diligence processes.
Required Experience
1+ years of relevant experience, which could include project finance, private equity, investment and commercial banking, experience in infrastructure either as a lender, advisor, or investor.
Qualifications
Candidates must be currently enrolled in, or in the final year of, an undergraduate or postgraduate (master’s/PhD) program.
