Overview
The Environmental and Social Development Intern will support MIGA’s E&S specialists in the E&S due diligence, monitoring, and reporting of projects across industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Support E&S due diligence (ESDD) of projects including preliminary screening, inputting into ESDD-related documentation, development and preparation of ESDD materials, expert-specific support, reviewing client-submitted E&S documentation, and assisting in the preparation of Environmental and Social Action Plans (ESAPs).
- Monitor projects by reviewing Annual Monitoring Reports (AMRs) and preparing AMR review reports, drafting and reviewing self-evaluation reports, data analysis and assessment of the E&S portfolio, and assisting in the preparation of portfolio-level reporting on E&S performance.
- Contribute to initiatives such as the development of templates for ESDD and monitoring, development of AI prompts and tools for E&S-related activities, development of the E&S handbook for MIGA, and supporting internal knowledge-sharing sessions or training materials on E&S topics for MIGA staff.
Required Experience
Candidates are not required to have prior professional experience.
Qualifications
Candidates must be currently enrolled in, or in the final year of, a postgraduate (master’s/PhD) program. Academic background must align with the requirements outlined in the job description.
