Overview

The Communications and Information Management Analyst will provide support for information management, documentation, and communication related to the UN India SDG Country Fund. The role involves stakeholder engagement via social media and administrative support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead communications project initiatives
  • Develop communications plans and content materials
  • Prepare written, visual and oral presentations/proposals/material
  • Assist in the planning, organisation and running of policy seminars, events and workshops
  • Analyse and identify the lifecycle impact of implemented projects
  • Engage with the public, perform due diligence, monitoring and generation of interest using social media
  • Monitor and track news regarding the Fund and related projects
  • Prepare and facilitate required documentations for the Secretariat and SC for funds disbursements
  • Assist in monitoring expenditure
  • Assist in all necessary administrative functions
  • Conduct specific analysis relating to various project themes
  • Undertake specific analyses involving data studies, verification and visualisation
  • Liaise with project owners and external collaborators
  • Capture and document lessons learned during project implementation
  • Participate in regular internal meetings
  • Participate in training events, communities of practice, codification and sharing knowledge
  • Keep abreast of developments in relevant Fund priority areas and discussions on current policies and trends
Required Experience

Applicants with a master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in Communications, Journalism or relevant areas such as Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, Economics.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Communications, Journalism or relevant areas such as Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, Economics is required. Or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Fluency in Hindi and English is required.
Languages Preferred
Familiarity with creative or social media tools (Adobe, WordPress, Canva, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc.) is desirable. Familiarity with designing and creating data visualization, infographics, presentations, and reports is desirable. Previous experience working with government, civil society, the UN or international development partners and/or multi-cultural teams is desirable.
