Overview

The Programme Officer (Integrated Nuclear Security Sustainability Plan) is responsible for managing Integrated Nuclear Security Sustainability Plans (INSSPs) within an assigned portfolio of countries and developing and managing nuclear security result-based projects based on Member State needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with national and regional nuclear security competent authorities and international entities regarding the INSSP framework.
  • Support the assessment and interpretation of nuclear security information to guide INSSP development.
  • Serve as a focal point for INSSP coordination within the Division and with States.
  • Coordinate planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of support activities.
  • Manage national, regional, and international nuclear security related projects.
  • Monitor INSSPs' and projects' implementation progress and report on achievements.
  • Organize and coordinate events related to INSSP and nuclear security projects.
  • Prepare project and annual reports, briefing notes, talking points, presentations, and outreach material.
Required Experience

Minimum of five years of project management experience, including results-based project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. Project management experience in nuclear related fields, particularly in nuclear security or similar technical domains, is an asset. Proven experience in partnership and capacity building. Experience coordinating multi stakeholder activities, preferably internationally.

Qualifications

University degree in project management, science, international relations (nuclear specialization desirable), or other relevant field. Recognised project management qualification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is desirable.

Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Remuneration
Attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $71335 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 38664*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; Other benefits include 6 weeks' annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance.
