Overview
The Resilience Coordinator will design and implement community resilience programmes, lead capacity-building initiatives, and conduct risk and vulnerability assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing community resilience programmes
- Leading capacity-building initiatives
- Conducting risk and vulnerability assessments
- Providing technical expertise on capacity-building and training, identification of drivers of vulnerability, mitigation strategies for disasters and shocks affecting children and women, and the development and testing of methods to strengthen community resilience
- Representing UNICEF in technical, managerial, and strategic planning meetings with UN sister agencies, donors, government officials, and other key stakeholders

Required Experience
At least 5 years of progressive professional experience in resilience, disaster risk reduction, emergency preparedness and response, peacebuilding, and/or post-disaster recovery. Demonstrated field experience in complex, high-risk and/or conflict-affected environments.
Qualifications
Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in social sciences or disciplines relevant to resilience social development and disaster risk reduction.
