The WBG Pioneer program offers students a high-impact learning experience in global development, providing hands-on experience and contributing fresh perspectives. The Montevideo office seeks an intern to support operational and analytical activities in Uruguay.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of Uruguay’s new Country Partnership Framework (CPF).
- Support business development efforts by assisting sector teams in mapping exercises, contributing to integrity due diligence (IDD) analysis for investment projects, and engaging in project financial analysis.
- Conduct background desk research on political, macroeconomic, industry, and sector developments in Uruguay, and prepare short notes on country-specific contexts.
- Participate in missions, project review meetings, and project appraisals.
Required Experience
- Prior work experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with the social and economic challenges of Uruguay.
Qualifications
Undergraduate (or close to graduation) degree in economics, finance, public policy, business, international affairs, or a related field.
