Overview
The WBG Pioneer - Environmental and Social Analyst intern will support IFC's business in the South America Region by providing Environmental and Social assistance on E&S matters related to IFC Performance Standards and Sustainability Policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting analysis to appraise environmental and social risks and impacts against IFC Performance Standards.
- Assisting in defining steps for compliance with PSs and World Bank Group Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines.
- Assisting in supervising client environmental and social performance through report review and site visits.
- Updating internal systems such as iDesk, iPortal and ESG 360.
- Assisting in providing training on environmental and social issues.
- Supporting sectoral and regional portfolio reviews.
- Collecting and analyzing data for reports.
- Providing administration support as required.
Required Experience
0–6 years of relevant professional experience
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in, or in the final year of, an undergraduate or postgraduate (master’s/PhD) program in a relevant discipline such as Environment, Social, Sustainability etc.
