Overview
The WBG Pioneer - Operations Analyst Intern will support the IFC Country Office by contributing to business development, investment pipeline activities, advisory project implementation, country strategy initiatives, and day-to-day operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the identification and assessment of potential investment opportunities through market and sector research.
- Assisting in developing and maintaining the country’s investment pipeline and client mapping.
- Conducting company, sector, and financial analysis, including to review financial information and prepare analytical notes and presentations.
- Supporting the implementation and supervision of ongoing advisory projects.
- Assisting in the preparation of project documents, including Concept Notes, Implementation Plans, Project Supervision Reports (PSRs), progress reports, and presentations.
- Conducting research, data analysis, documentation, and taking meeting minutes, to support project teams.
- Supporting the implementation of the new Country Partnership Framework (CPF) and other country strategies.
- Contributing to the preparation of client presentations, briefing materials, and strategy documents.
- Providing operational and logistical support for visiting missions, meetings, and stakeholder engagement events.
- Assisting in tracking deliverables, maintaining project documentation, and preparing routine reports.
- Performing other analytical, operational, and administrative tasks as assigned by the Country Office.
Required Experience
Maximum of five years of professional experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be enrolled in, or in the final year of a postgraduate (master’s/PhD) program.
- Preferred field of study: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Economics, Public Affairs; or assimilated.
