Overview

The role supports the Risk Management Unit (RMU) in implementing the Country Office's priorities by contributing to risk management, coordination, reporting, and knowledge management activities. It offers practical exposure to governance, risk management, and compliance processes within a large-scale humanitarian operation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the follow-up of agreed actions from internal audits, including updating tracking tools.
  • Assist in organizing and compiling supporting documents for submission.
  • Contribute to basic quality checks of audit evidence for completeness.
  • Participate in preparing summaries and updates on the implementation status of audit recommendations.
  • Contribute to updating the Country Office Risk Register and associated tracking tools.
  • Follow up with risk owners on the status of mitigation measures.
  • Consolidate contributions from various functional units and field offices.
  • Assist in updating reference tools, including the risk management maturity checklist.
  • Participate in compiling and updating Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and associated tools.
  • Support the maintenance and updating of risk monitoring dashboards and tools.
  • Contribute to the regular compilation of data for risk analysis and reporting.
  • Participate in drafting content for the Monthly Risk Management Bulletin and its dissemination.
  • Support the preparation and consolidation of contributions to quarterly risk and governance reports.
  • Assist in organizing and restructuring shared folders and RMU documentation repositories.
  • Contribute to standardizing filing systems, naming conventions, and folder structures.
  • Participate in the digitalization and consolidation of reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Contribute to documenting key processes, templates, and best practices to enhance knowledge management.
  • Support the consolidation of information related to field supervision and monitoring activities.
  • Contribute to updating tracking tools and action matrices.
  • Participate in compiling information for mission reports and accounts.
  • Support structured information flows between field offices and the RMU.
  • Support the coordination of the Risk Ambassadors Network activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation and updating of communication and training materials.
  • Participate in monitoring the implementation of risk awareness and capacity-building activities.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Risk Management Learning Journey, including compiling content, assisting in organizing learning sessions, tracking participation, and contributing to continuous improvement of learning resources.
Required Experience

An academic experience or internship in risk management, audit, compliance, or data analysis is an asset.

Qualifications

Higher education degree (obtained or in progress) in risk management, audit, finance, economics, business administration, data analysis, information management, or a related field.
