Overview

Provide driving services for IOM staff and visitors, ensuring vehicle maintenance and adherence to safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reliable and secure driving services.
  • Manage day-to-day vehicle maintenance.
  • Ensure vehicle registration, insurance, and service are timely.
  • Perform minor repairs and arrange for major repairs.
  • Ensure vehicle is kept clean and in good running condition.
  • Ensure vehicle always has full tank prior to departure.
  • Find the most direct routing.
  • Meet official personnel at the airport and facilitate immigration and customs formalities.
  • Negotiate, liaise and coordinate with local authorities.
  • Ensure IOM vehicle is used only for official/authorized business.
  • Update daily logbook after each movement.
  • Provide fuel receipts for consumption monitoring.
  • Keep a high degree of confidentiality and discreteness.
  • Take proper measurements to reduce potential security threats.
  • Deliver and collect goods, mail, documents and other items.
  • Take steps required by local rules and regulations in case of accident.
  • Identify any apparent problems during trips and report them.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Valid Driving License
  • Adequate knowledge of local traffic laws and routes of the duty station
  • Defensive driving techniques
  • Previous experience in working with IOM or other international organizations in the field
Qualifications

Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution.
