Overview
Coordinate and monitor the implementation of technical activities for the CITinova II Project in the Metropolitan Region of Florianópolis, collaborating with partners and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of all project activities in the Metropolitan Region of Florianópolis, ensuring compliance with work plans, schedules, budget, quality standards, and indicators.
- Act as the main project focal point in the Metropolitan Region of Florianópolis, ensuring technical coherence and coordination among metropolitan and municipal activities.
- Coordinate the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and periodic review of detailed work plans for metropolitan activities, proposing adaptive management measures.
- Identify implementation risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities, proposing and coordinating mitigation measures.
- Coordinate and monitor the execution of technical consultancies under the metropolitan component.
- Provide technical inputs to technical products, reports, and other deliverables.
- Support the preparation of Terms of Reference, technical specifications, and other procurement-related documents.
- Provide technical support to the Project Management Unit and contribute to the technical implementation of all project components.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and institutional coordination with municipal, state, and federal governments, partner institutions, academia, civil society organizations, local communities, traditional populations, the private sector, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate and coordinate meetings, workshops, technical working groups, participatory processes, and other engagement activities.
- Co-chair the Local Advisory Group, organize its meetings, act as its secretary, and support the participation of local and state government representatives.
- Promote coordination and synergies between the project and other relevant initiatives, programmes, and investments.
- Participate in project meetings, events, workshops, and technical discussions.
- Work jointly with the Communication Advisor and the Communication Agency to support communication activities, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge dissemination.
- Collaborate with the implementation of UrbanShift activities and facilitate the participation of local stakeholders.
- Monitor the progress of project implementation through documentation review, field visits, and regular follow-up.
- Maintain regular communication with the Project Management Unit, reporting implementation progress, risks, challenges, lessons learned, and proposed corrective actions.
- Promote knowledge management by documenting good practices, lessons learned, and experiences.
- Ensure the implementation of the project's Gender Action Plan within the metropolitan activities.
- Prepare, review, and consolidate technical notes, reports, and other documentation.
- Contribute to the preparation of the Project Implementation Review (PIR), Half-Yearly Progress Reports, Change Requests, Mid-Term Review, Terminal Evaluation, Final Report, and other technical reports.
- Participate in missions, workshops, seminars, training activities, meetings, and other events related to the project.
- Perform other technical duties related to the implementation of the project.
Required Experience
- Five (5) years of professional experience in coordinating or implementing projects related to sustainable development, urban or territorial planning, environmental management, climate action, biodiversity, or other related fields is required.
- Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supervising technical consultancies is desirable.
- Experience working with and/or advising local governments on the development of policies, programs and projects related to urban sustainability, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and/or biodiversity conservation is desirable.
- Experience working with stakeholder articulation from local, state, and national governments, non-profit organizations, international organizations, the private sector, academia, and civil society is desirable.
- Experience working in the Metropolitan Region of Florianópolis on topics related to the present Terms of Reference is desirable.
- Experience integrating gender equality considerations into projects and knowledge of gender-related challenges in Brazilian cities is desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture and urban planning, sustainable development, urban mobility and transportation planning, climate resilience and adaptation, smart cities and digital urban solutions, environmental and landscape planning, environmental sciences, engineering, geography, biology, urban planning, public policy and administration or related fields is required.
