Overview

The Senior Programme Management Officer will develop, implement, and evaluate assigned programmes/projects related to PCVE or support to Victims of Terrorism. The role involves coordinating policy development, managing outreach and resource mobilization, and leading field missions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and evaluate assigned programmes/projects related to PCVE or support to Victims of Terrorism.
  • Ensure implementation of gender mainstreaming guidelines.
  • Direct research and programme evaluation.
  • Coordinate policy development related to PCVE or support to Victims of Terrorism.
  • Undertake survey initiatives; guide design of data collection instruments; review, analyze and interpret responses.
  • Supervise preparation of various written outputs.
  • Direct substantive support to consultative and other meetings.
  • Manage outreach and resource mobilization activities; design and conduct training workshops.
  • Lead field missions, including provision of guidance and drafting mission summaries.
  • Coordinate activities related to budget and funding.
  • Serve as an effective spokesperson and establish collaboration and partnerships.
  • Ensure effective utilization, supervision and development of staff.
Required Experience

A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required. A minimum of four years of experience delivering programming on the prevention of violent extremism in a multilateral or international organization is required. Experience in a national government working on the prevention of violent extremism is required. Experience with interagency coordination and supporting intergovernmental processes at the United Nations or in another international organization is desirable.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics, or a related field is required. A first level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
