Overview
The Senior Programme Associate will support the implementation of a project aimed at reducing post-harvest losses of millet and improving its quality. The role involves training producers, promoting adapted techniques, and developing capacities in processing and fortification.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure rigorous planning and effective monitoring for project activities.
- Propose innovative technical solutions for reducing post-harvest losses and improving cereal quality.
- Develop and implement innovative technical solutions in cereal processing technologies.
- Ensure compliance with sanitary standards for millet, fortified rice, and other agri-food products.
- Strengthen the capacities of WFP staff and partners in food safety and quality.
- Produce regular technical and financial reports.
- Collaborate closely with implementation partners, technical teams, local partners, and beneficiaries.
- Document best practices and lessons learned from the millet quality improvement project.
Required Experience
At least five years of proven professional experience in the monitoring and evaluation of agri-food projects and programmes, including post-harvest loss management.
Qualifications
University degree (Bac+4 or higher) in agronomy, agri-food, food science and technology, rural economics, project management, or related disciplines.
