Overview
The Senior Programme Manager (Durable Solutions and DDRR Coordinator) will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of the Programme, overseeing its development and implementation, and contributing to IOM's global programming for Durable Solutions and DDRR.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and management to ensure progress toward intended results.
- Provide leadership and ensure coordination across and between different organizational units.
- Consult regularly with key stakeholders to refine strategy and enhance effectiveness.
- Ensure Programme implementation reflects current best practices and IOM’s policies.
- Represent the Programme in various coordination mechanisms.
- Ensure Programme compliance with IOM’s project management policies.
- Support the creation of a culture of monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and manage external communication.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
- Master’s degree with seven years of relevant professional experience; or University degree with nine years of relevant professional experience.
- Extensive experience in programme formulation, implementation, and evaluation;
- Demonstrated managerial experience in staff management;
- Proven record of establishing and maintaining good working relationships with governmental and diplomatic authorities, national, regional, and international institutions, international agencies, and civil society organizations;
- Proven work experience in a rapid transition or post-conflict area;
- Experience in project development, implementation, and reporting, including financial and budgetary aspects;
- Familiarity with inter-agency programme regulations of the UN and other donors.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Management, Social Science, Law, International Relations, Regional Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in the above fields.
