Overview

The role involves conducting a comprehensive comparative analysis of SMART dataset indicators to inform nutrition programming in Syria and formulating strategic recommendations to reverse wasting prevalence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a comprehensive comparative analysis of all indicators assessed in SMART 2023 and SMART 2025.
  • Summarize the outcome of the analysis using compelling state of the art visual methods and infographics to inform a communication strategy targeting diverse audiences including non-technical people.
  • Formulate strategic and actionable recommendations for Syria to reverse the trend of wasting prevalence.
Required Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting primary data collection or secondary data analysis and documenting public health and nutrition work at national and international level, some of which preferably were served in a developing country is required. Consultant must have authored at least two high-quality secondary data analysis or research reports in that period, at least two of them being related nutrition programming. Demonstrates excellent writing skills, and strong communication, in particular for the development of technical documents is essential. Qualifications

Master's degree in Public Health/Nutrition, Nutrition Epidemiology, Statistics, or a related field.
