Overview
The Programme Associate (GFA Catchment Focal) will support the implementation of the GFA program at BC/camp level, coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring timely assistance to displaced families.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent WFP/GFA as Catchment Focal, leading the Food Security Sector and coordinating with government, SMS agencies, and protection actors.
- Lead relocation activities and Rapid Response efforts, ensuring displaced families receive immediate assistance.
- Oversee monthly mobilization and distribution plans to ensure beneficiaries receive full monthly entitlements.
- Provide guidance to Cooperating Partners on SCOPE, Blockchain, and GFA SOPs.
- Support CPs with financial planning, forecasting, and programmatic invoice reviews.
- Monitor and analyze GFA databases to identify discrepancies and improve data integrity.
- Support the scale-up of new market initiatives and monitor retail/wholesale food price variations.
- Provide support for new arrivals and protection cases, utilizing referral pathways and managing inclusion/exclusion.
- Follow up on monitoring findings with partners and stakeholders to implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate with internal support units and report on programme implementation and quality.
- Provide daily support to Program Assistants and field teams.
- Perform any other duty as required related to GFA and other programme activities.
Required Experience
Minimum 6 years of experience in the camps, a good understanding of camp context and its dynamics, basic knowledge on humanitarian principles and code of conduct, and experience working with WFP would be an asset.
Qualifications
Completion of University Degree (bachelor's or equivalent) is required. Education in any other relevant field is preferable.
