Overview

Asociado/a de Programas responsible for technical work, including planning, implementation, and coordination of activities requiring in-depth knowledge of program/project context and issues.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized expertise and contribute to the development of project activities, plans, and processes.
  • Provide efficient coordination and specialized project management support.
  • Prepare a variety of elaborate reports and substantial data analyses.
  • Lead and ensure accurate and timely recording of data.
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal functional units.
  • Foster relationships and support partnership building with local partners, agencies, NGOs, and government institutions.
  • Support capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners, and national government.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex queries.
  • Follow standard emergency preparedness practices.
  • Manage a team of support staff.
Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in an area related to accounting and/or administration. Experience in the use of WEB-based systems and corporate platforms. Demonstrated solid understanding of administrative operating standards and knowledge of international humanitarian and development issues. Facilitated communication with technical teams. Contributed to the implementation of programs with a high degree of responsibility. Contributed to policy discussions.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary education cycle. Post-secondary education certificate in the relevant functional area will be valued.
