Overview

Consultant to evaluate the UN Development Account-funded project on ‘Financing NbS for Green and Inclusive recovery’ in Colombia and Brazil, to ascertain lessons learned for future programming.


Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and revise the inception report for the evaluation.
  • Collect related documents and conduct a synthesized desk review.
  • Prepare and revise an interview guide, using it as a basis to conduct semi-structured interviews.
  • Prepare and present preliminary findings to the project team.
  • Draft and finalize evaluation report based on feedback from various partner stakeholders.
  • Disseminate the evaluation report to related stakeholders.
  • Support with any other task deemed to be relevant to the successful completion of the evaluation
Required Experience

A minimum of seven years of technical/evaluation experience, preferably including use of a Theory of Change approach; and technical knowledge of sustainable public finance/fiscal policy, nature-based solutions, and sustainable agriculture

Qualifications

An advanced university degree in environmental sciences, international development, economics, finance, public policy, statistics, or another relevant political or social sciences area

Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese is desirable.
